Why is religion private by default?

Because those fields are sensitive and should never become public labels.

Cofelt does not display religion or cultural community on profiles or expose them as Network filters. You cannot search for people by either field.

Entering either field does not change the calculation of your birth-sky pattern. Religion can modestly affect recommendations only if you explicitly choose a same-faith preference. Cultural community is not currently used to rank people.

If you choose to enter religion or community, the value remains hidden from other members. You can edit or clear your own value at any time.

If you'd rather not share at all, leave the field empty. The product works fully without it.
