Cancelling your subscription does NOT refund your Sparks. The two are separate.
Sparks you bought through Spark Packs are a separate one-time purchase. If you cancel Premium, your unused Sparks remain on the lapsed account and can still be used for Ask under the current lapsed-mode rules.
If you DELETE your account (the full goodbye, not just cancel), unused Sparks are forfeited. We can't move them to another account and we don't refund unused Sparks at deletion. So if you have a lot of unused Sparks and you're thinking about deleting, consider using or storing them first.
If you bought Sparks standalone (just a Spark Pack purchase) and you want a refund, where you ask depends on where you bought them:
- App Store / Google Play: the store that processed the payment handles the refund, under their policy. Use reportaproblem.apple.com or Google Play order history.
- Direct on the web: email [email protected] if you believe there was a billing error (duplicate charge, wrong amount, charge after cancellation). Spark Packs are otherwise non-refundable once delivered, except where your statutory rights require a refund.
Your statutory consumer rights apply regardless of where you bought.
Sparks never expire and don't lose value over time, so there's rarely a reason to refund them. You can hold them indefinitely until you find something you want to spend on.
